Natural, Organic Beauty products that are affordable but never compromise on quality and performance. Root Pretty was introduced to me by a few of my favourite Instagram and YouTube Natural Beauty Lovers. It took me a while to decide on what to purchase first!
The package came in a fuchsia bubble wrap envelop that had my Canada Post Lady itching to ask me what was inside! The fabric pouch is a lovely touch as well! I keep my samples in there so that they are never lost and just a dig away!
This mascara is pretty amazing! It is 100% Natural, Vegan, Gluten Free, Paraben Free and contains no artificial dye.
I love the small brush that allows me to get close to my lash line without making a mess on my lids! It smells so amazing (I’m a vanilla lover!) The formula is drier than I’ve experience with other Natural Mascara’s but I’m not mad at that! Any mascara smudges on my lower lashes because of the way my lashes fall, so that is still a bummer.
Over all, in love and will for sure repurchase again!
I decided on a sample size of the clear. My plan was to use it as a primer under my foundation. It applies nicely onto the skin. A little goes a long way! You get a very generous amount for a sample. Personally, for me, it broke down my foundation mid-way through the day. My T-zone became very oily compared to if I did not have a primer on underneath.
I’m not sure what in both of the Natural beauty products were fighting, but they did not like each other! I have tried it a few different ways, more product, less product, powder between products; nothing seems to be making these two products like each other. Has anyone else had this happen? Do you have any suggestions or solutions?
This product, none the less, has some amazing ingredients and benefits. It’s skin care and a light coverage “foundation” in one! It is very affordable and comes in a wide range of shades. I have purchased another sample in “light” to try out as a light coverage “BB” cream.
I was on the fence on which one of their glosses to try first! All of them look so amazing. I decided to pick up Jama after seeing the swatches on the website.
I’m a lip gloss kinda girl! Always have been. So I was happy when this gloss checked all the boxes! It has become my new favorite lip gloss! The colour, the texture, the shine, the taste 🙂 and smell! All amazing! The colour pay off is great and its none-sticky. A must for glosses. I can not wait to try another colour!
Like all the other products I purchased from Root Pretty, this one product was talked about a lot! I purchased a sample size and again the sample is very generous. I was warned by many Instagram and YouTube Beauties, that a little goes a long way with this product! They sure are right about that. I’m still in trial and error stages on finding the “right” amount that will work for me,my skin and under eye area. So far, when I’ve gotten it right I’ve really loved how it looks! It brightens my under eye, takes away any discolouration and melts into my skin with the heat of my fingers.
The sample will last quiet a while, but when I come to the end, I’ll repurchase a full size.
The sample size was just a tease! I have an oily T-zone so setting my foundation is a must for me. This powder has so many great uses also. Along with using it to set your under eyes and foundation, it can be used under your foundation to mattify and minimize your pores, used on top of lip products to make them matte, as well as to touch up and absorb any oil that has happened throughout the day without making your face cakie.
As I’m writing this post, I am not wearing this setting powder as I ran out of it yesterday morning 😦 I repurchased the largest this powder came in! And am patiently waiting its arrival, along with 2 other products!
I haven’t had much play time with this yet to give a full review. But what I can say is it is very creamy, pigmented and covers nicely. I did have to cover a few blemishes on my hairline that popped up after a hot weekend, from wearing a hat all day! A small price to pay so my face did not get burnt 🙂 It set nicely and stayed put all day. It also did not dry out as the day went on. It stayed very mositurized and kept my blemish under-wraps.
The Corrector is 100% Natural, 88% Organic, Vegan, Gluten Free, Paraben & Preservative Free. It also comes in many shades and can be used to contour (darker shade) and highlight (lighter shade). I also used it as an eye shadow primer which it worked great for!
You get a far amount in a pan, so I do not see me having to repurchase for a while, but when that time comes, I would repurchase again.
I picked up a sample of the Pretty Balm in Ballet. It is a soft tinted lip balm in a soft pink shade. Root says that it is a hybrid of “lip balm, lip gloss & lipstick”. And I couldn’t agree more! It is super mositurizing and leaves your lips singing with joy! The colour is light and almost a “lip” shade of pink. It is great for days when I just want something on my lips because they are dry but do not want much colour. Like all of Root Pretty products, the Pretty Balm is 100% Natural, Gluten Free and Vegan.
I recently placed another order with Root and a full size of a different Pretty Balm made it in my cart! 🙂 Can not wait to try that one out!
