Well 4 more months of this year have come and gone. Where does the time go? I swear it was just New Years a few days ago 🙂 It’s time for another Empties Post!!! I’m bringing you my most loved items and a few not to loved products, for the last 4 months.
I must say that I am pretty proud of myself this time around! I finished off quit a few items in the last 4 months. A lot of these, if not all, I have done a review or post on them (I will link you to them along the way), so this will be as brief as I can handle. Let’s jump in to this!
Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Moist: I like this because it is easy on my wallet, is fast acting (3 minutes and your done) and smells amazing! It leaves my hair soft, smooth and silky.
Repurchase: Already have
TreSemme Dry Shampoo: I purchased this because I love(d) TreSemme’s products and was out of dry shampoo. When I went to my local drug store this was on sale, so I picked it up to try. It was OK. I wasn’t super impressed, it’s not anything fancy or WOW. It got the job done for me. The only thing I found was that, with me, it wasn’t build-able and did nothing on day 3 of wearing it. The EWG* ratings are also very high.
Macadamia Natural Oil Macadamia Rejuvenating Shampoo: I purchased a gift box sooo many years ago that I can’t even remember 🙂 This is the last thing in that gift set that I had not used up. It was nice, I didn’t use it every day, only when I deep conditioned my hair. I just used it up to get rid of it. I do like the brand and what they offer, however the price isn’t right for me.
FitGlow Beauty Vita Foundation: If you are a regular to my blog than you know what my thoughts and feelings are for this product. I shed a tear when I finished this up a few days ago. LOVE it! Need more, STAT!
Repurchase: Run, don’t walk to repurchase, NOW!
SeaFlora Skincare: Foaming Fucus Cleansing Concentrate, Potent Seaweed Serum, Sea Spray Splash Toner and Potent Sea Kelp Exfoliator. Favorite skincare, by far. I haven’t found anything that my skin loves better. I have linked to my recent post because I could go on and on…
Repurchase: Do I really need to say it?… YES!!!
Dr. Lipp Miracle Balm: I received this in a Birch Box that I got at the beginning of the year. I really enjoyed using it. It lasted a while, the sample was a decent size. I applied it when my lips needed the most help and usually right before bed for the max recovery time for them. The product is 100% Natural, which I love and there are so many uses for it.
Blistex Regular SPF 15: I have been using this for years. It is my go to for lip protection. I am looking for a Natural, Green lip product that will do the same for my lips. It’s not the cleanest lip product but its super affordable and gets the job done.
Repurchase: I will until I can find a replacement
Life Brand 3 in 1 cleansing cloths: Like I said in my March Haul, these are great makeup wipes. They get the job done, I buy them in bulk and they are a great price. I am still looking for a Natural, cleaner version that does not cost a ton since I go through them rather fast. I also use them after a workout to clean away sweat and dirt.
Secret Clinical Protection Antiperspirant: I sweat, this covers and blocks it! Simple enough 🙂 Although, I have switched to a Natural, Green deodorant (and still on the hunt for the perfect one for me). I would repurchase this over and over, however, I am cleaning up my beauty routine and this is not good for you…
Avon Eyewriter Liquid Eyeliner in Evening Black: This was an o;d product that I bought back in high school. I found it in the depths of my makeup bag. It’s so old that I wouldn’t even attempt to put it on my eyes. I do remember it smudging, transferring onto my lids and not lasting very long.
Silk Naturals Perfecting Powder: This Vegan finishing powder was awesome. I purchased the sample and reviewed earlier in the year (click the name to read the review!). It is still on my radar but I am trying out others for now.
Repurchase: Yes, in the future
Silk Naturals HD Concealer in #1 and #2: I LOVED these concealers. They reminded me of the Benefit boi-ing full coverage concealer. It’s thick but covers and blends like a dream. The #1 was too light for my skin tone so I used is as an eye primer, which it worked well for. The #2 was amazing under my eyes and to cover blemishes.
Repurchase: Yes, full size next time.
Batiste Dry Shampoo Big & Bouncy XXL Volume: The name says it all. It worked great, made my hair volumized, and left it clean-looking. It does have a really heavy white cast, which was hard to get out of my light hair and it had a gritty texture to it if you used it more than once between washes. Due to that, it weighted my hair down so I would alternate between this and what ever other dry shampoo I had on the go. It is up there in price, for me. EWG* ratings are not great on this either.
Repurchase: Yes, if I find it on sale
Skintimate Shave Gel Dry Skin: I’ve used this since I started shaving. It’s all my Mom used, so of course I picked up on it. I have used other brands and I always come back to this. It is moderately clean (per EWG*). I have and will use Dr.Bronner’s Soap as a shaving lotion once my back up one is empty.
Repurchase: I’m going to try not too….but Yes I would if it was cleaner.
Live Clean Coconut Milk Body Wash: I said everything that I could about this in my post about Live Clean (linked above). I LOVE this brand and body wash. Smells amazing and nourishing.
Pacifica Natural Minerals Mascara in SuperNova (black): This was the first Natural mascara that I tried and I LOVE it! I’m sad to see it go, but am excited to try the others from this brand. I am currently working my way through another brands mascara, so a future purchase is in the works.
Repurchase: YES…100 times yes! 🙂
NYX Micro Brow Pencil: This is a product that I didn’t know I would miss as much as I do. I have not found a brow pencil that has worked or match my eyebrow hairs as good as this does. It has a super small pencil tip that allows for precise brush strokes to similar hair. It did last quite a while and is very affordable.
Root Pretty Setting Silk: This was a sample that I picked up from the first Root order I placed. I have recently gotten another order and replaced the sample with the largest size they carried in this powder! The full review is linked above!
Repurchase: Yes, already have 🙂
Tresemme Naturals Radiant Volume Shampoo & Conditioner: I’ve used TeSemme shampoos & Conditioners for years and when they came out with their Natural line I was just at the beginning of my knowledge for clean beauty. These worked fine, go the job done. They smelt great and did not leave my hair weight down. I finished these up (Conditioner some how made it into the trash and not the empties box) and found a brand that wasn’t “Green washing” the market.
Well there you have it Beauties. Hope you enjoyed digging through my trash and seeing what I have been loving, using and things that I have not liked or trying to stay away from.
What were some of your empties for the last few months?
