To Stink or Not to Stink. Is that even a Question? | Natural, Green Deodorant Review | Lavanila

Finding an all Natural, Green deodorant was hard work!  Everyone’s bodies are different, so using what your favourite beauty blogger or YouTuber is using doesn’t mean it’s a win for you. Enter, my new friend : Lavanila.

Lavanila: The Healthy Deodorant - Pure Vanilla

Now I will admit, that I only used one other brands deodorant before making the leap to this one.  I did not want to shell out the money so I went for a less expensive brand and was not impressed.  But, like I said, everyone is different and my body just needs a little more (oh who am I kidding, a lot more!) stink protection.

I bought mine off of Amazon as I was already buying a few other things and figured why not! I had heard so many great things about it, it won the Allure Readers’ Choice Award, 2016 and came in a few different scents.  I wasn’t able to get my hands on the Sports Lux Deodorant, so I went for the Pure Vanilla.

I have been using this for just over a month now.  The product is in stick form, glides on nice and smooth and does not leave a white cast under my arms.  The scent is light enough that it covers and is there, but not over powering that people ask what I am wearing.

I will admit, however, that there are times where I can smell that it is not working at its full strength.  May that be after a workout, working in the yard all day or after a long, hot, humid day.  I am not one to carry deodorant around with me, so if you are a heavy sweater, you may wish to do so.  On the plus side, my husband has not said “you stink” to me since wearing this! Bonus 🙂

Now onto the niddy-griddy of the product!

Lavanila is a Cruelty-Free company.  Their deodorants are Vegan, contain No Parabans or Aluminium, and are Clinically Tested.

Lavanila states the following benefits with their products:

– Superior odor protection with our Beta glucan technology
– High quality essential oils deliver a burst of freshness
– Nourishes with antioxidants—great for sensitive skin
– Velvet soft solid infused with aloe goes on sheer and doesn’t stain

The stick has 2oz of product, which is a fair amount when you think about it.  I have barely made a dent in it and I have been using it daily for over a month.  While the price is high, in my opinion, for a deodorant, the amount you get, the ingredients in it and the Natural, Green aspect of the product out way the cost.

The ingredients from the Lavanila website:

“Aloe barbadensis leaf juice (Aloe juice, water/aqua), Propanediol (Corn derived), Zea mays (Corn) starch, Sodium stearate (Coconut derived), Silica, Carrageenan (Seaweed derived), Stearyl behenate (Coconut derived), Citrus medica limonum (Lemon peel oil), Inulin (Artichoke derived), Saccharomyces ferment, Alpha-Glucan oligosaccharide (Sugar derived), Yeast beta glucan, Lonicera caprifolium (Honeysuckle) flower extract, Usnea barbata (Lichen) extract, Valeriana officinalis root extract (Valerian), Hydrastis canadensis (Goldenseal) extract, Melaleuca alternifolia (Tea tree) flower/leaf/stem extract, Lycium barbarum fruit extract (Goji berry), Vanilla planifolia (Vanilla) oil, Botanical fragrance blend”

Lavanila has many scents, sizes and package deals.  The only thing I wish they did was offer package deals with a variety of their scents, not just 3 of the same scent. They also offer a mini version for travel and testing of the product.

If you are looking to give them a try, follow my link! *Talsbeautyopinion will receive points towards an order when you make a purchase.

Overall, I’m impressed with this deodorant and will be checking out the Sports Lux when it is time to restock.

Have you tried this deodorant?  Is there a brand that you love that I need to try?  Let me know in the comments!

    1. Have you tried the sports one? That will be my next purchase from them. I’m told that it is stronger and works better. It does smell great 🙂
