For the Love of Hair! | Live Clean Argan Oil

It takes me quite a while to finish off hair products, especially when it is an oil.  I knew that what I was using was not the best choice, in terms of “greener” option, but I am not one to waste products and “throw” money away.  So I stuck it out and finally finished off what I had been using!  I had my eye on this product for a while and finally got my hands on it! Live Clean is one of my favourite Canadian brands, so when I seen that they made an Argan Oil, I knew I had to give it a go!

Live Clean - Argan Oil

I have thin, fine hair.  Any large about of product weighs it down making it greasy and lifeless.  With this in mind and knowing my hair, I am always light on the products and am careful when trying out new products.

Live Clean Argan Oil is light weight that is said to “restore natural shine and lustre making hair silky and shiny without feeling greasy”.

I noticed an immediate difference in my hair the first time I used this product! I did do some research before buying it and the reviews are not the best, but than again, were they using it properly? Using too much for their hair?  I am not one to run away from bad reviews all the time  and since I love all of Live Clean’s products to date, I was willing to take a gamble.  It is trial and error.  Everyone’s hair is different. Some may need more, some may need less.

The way I find works best for my hair is I use a small amount in the palm of my hand.  I rub them together to evenly distribute the product and than while my hair is wet, I run my hands through the ends, which is where my frizz happens. It has helped my hair dry faster, a lot smoother and softer and I have a lot less frizz happening.  It is sweater weather where I live, so frizz and static are at a high right now!

Overall, I have been impressed with this product.  I have only had it for a few weeks, but I see a difference and have been complimented on my hair as well.

Since being introduced to the “Think Dirty” app, I have been obsessed with it and am a scanning machine!  It is scary to see the results 😦

Live Clean vs Garnier: Argan Oil

I had been using Garnier Moroccan Oil of quite a while. *Did  you know that Moroccan Oil and Argan Oil are essentially the same thing? I looked it up here!  I decided after I bought the Live Clean Argan Oil to scan it and see what I was putting onto my hair….I was shocked to see the numbers.

Live Clean vs Garnier: Argan oil Comparison

While Live Clean is not under 3, and really that is just due to the fragrances that they put into the product, Garnier being a 9 is non- negotiable! For years I had been putting this onto my hair!  I love my hair and it deserves so much better! I am so happy that I have made the switch and for the Think Dirty app.  It is another product/item that I really wish I had invented! 🙂

There are other oils on the market that are 3 and under that I will look into when this bottle runs out.  But for now, I am content in knowing that I have made another switch to a greener product!

Do you use hair oils?  What is your favorite brand?

    1. Thanks for stopping Di! I started to use hair oil after my hair started to act all weird and frizzy. It was like I had curly hair, but don’t! So far, its done the trick without a lot of products having to be in my hair weighing it down 🙂

    1. Thanks for stopping by mybeautyjunction! I wasn’t aware that they were either until I got curious and looked it up! According to a few articles, it’s basically the same thing in terms of oils. Both are great for your hair 🙂

  1. Oh no! I totally have that Garnier Moroccan Oil in my bathroom right now! I am tossing it tonight after seeing how many chemicals is in it and using only my coconut oil from now on. It is heavy, yes, but my hair is so dry this time of year I don’t think grease is a fear of mine.

  2. I love oils for my hair but you are so right, it really depends on the amount you use on whether or not it’s good for your hair or not. Also the thinkdirty app looks so interesting. Definitely checking that out

  3. I use a hair oil occasionally when I feel that my ends are a bit crispy duck so to speak. It’s not something I use often as I don’t feel my hair needs it + having fine hair & a heavy hand, I know I can overdo it. I use bhave’s riot control oil – they’re an Aussie brand – and it’s not bad.
