Well it was some year! I made the switch to Natural, Green Beauty and started this blog basically at the same time! It has been a learning experience for both but am truly happy that I made the choice to do both 🙂 As you are reading this, there are just a few days until Christmas. I will be taking some time off to enjoy my mini vacation and I hope you can do the same! Until than, I present, the Best in Beauty 2016: Natural, Green Beauty Addition!
Of course I have to pick FitGlow’s Vita – Active Foundation! I tried it and was hooked! I NEED to have this at all times 🙂 I did try something else, but quickly went back to this. My Holy-Grail for foundation ❤ Check out my review here.
Unlike foundation, this year I was a little more adventurous and tried a few mascaras. It was hard to pick just one because all the ones I tried this year all have a reason to be on this list. However, Root Pretty 100% Lash Mascara hits all the boxes. It lengthens, separates, is black as black, and moisturizing to my lashes. It does not smudge as much on me as some have. Check out my full review here.
I am not much of a “lipstick” kinda girl however, I did find one that I have reached for more than the others that are in my collection. Root Pretty Balm in Doll is like a lipstick , lipgloss and balm in one! That’s why I love it 🙂 Check out my review here!
Oh man. This was hard! But I narrowed it down and down some more. I cheated and have 2 LOL Common, give a girl a break 🙂 FitGlow Good Gloss, which I just got but it is soooo good that I could not NOT put it in this round up. BeautyCounter Lip Gloss as well is a favourite. Both are my favourites for a lot of the same reasons. Staying power, pigmentation and the colours are amazing! Check out my first impression for FitGlow Gloss here and BeautyCounter review here!
I have tried a few this year, but keep going back to this one by Root Pretty. It is finely milled, mattifying and like the name suggests, silky. It sets my foundation and concealer (when I wear it) nicely. It comes in a few sizes too, so you can sample it 🙂 Check out my review here!
I am not a big eyeshadow person. I wear it in perts. Since getting this Trio, I have worn it every day! I love the colours, they blend amazingly well and the pigmentation are incredible. They are matte, which is my favourite formula and the colours work great for my skin tone and overall everyday makeup look. Check out my first impressions here!
I am very minimal when it comes to my makeup (if you haven’t noticed from this list and my blog posts!) I do not contour, highlight or wear blush. I stopped using primer when I switched to Natural, Green products. I have listed a few honourable mentions below as I do love them and do use them every day to date.
NYX: Brow Pencil.
Although they are not Natural or Green, they are Cruelty Free! I love this pencil. So precise and the colour is bang on for my hair. (I wear Taupe)
FitGlow: Redness Rescue Cream
I received these as samples when I repurchased my foundation. I love it. Check out my review here!
Well it was quite the year Beauties! I would love to know what your list consists of. Be sure to leave it in the comments below so I can start my shopping list for next year!
