The holidays are over and I am now back to work. Boo. If you are anything like me, the holidays hit me fast, run me over and spit me out all confused and in a daze 🙂 While away, my mom gifted me with a few beauty items! One of which was The Face Shop, Pore Care Face Mask.
Last year, sheet masks exploded onto the beauty scene. Every brand, Natural and conventional all have a form of it in their line up. I had yet to pick one up but was intrigued with them for their ease of use and convenience.
I had not heard of The Face Shop before and being that they are not Natural, I was leary of testing it out all together. My skin is sensitive and hates trying new products 🙂 But I figured, I’m not vacation and if something happens, I have time to fix it.
The Face Shop, to my surprise has many different sheet masks, all at very affordable pricing.
The one I tested out is from their Solutions Line and was geared towards Oily Skin. I have large pores in my T-Zone and get very oily there as well. So I was game to try the mask and put it to the test.
Being as how this is my first sheet mask, I do not have anything to compare it to and was not sure what to expect.
The mask is light weight, was easy to apply and stayed put on my face while I did house work for the 20 minutes I left it on. It even had a cooling feeling on my skin as the mask went to work.
When it was time to remove the mask, it came off easily, in one piece. What was left was the product that transferred onto my skin. I tap-tap-tapped it into my skin. My skin was left with a fresh, oil-like look. It was not oily, but you could tell that I had product on my face.
Did I notice a difference?
No. My pores are still there! LOL But really. It did leave my skin hydrated, and I can not be mad at it for that 🙂 It is after all Winter in Canada and my skin is screaming for hydration. It did not break my skin out or leave me with a rash.
The Face Shop is a Korean company that most recently opened its doors in Canada in 2013. This mask, although NOT Natural, does not contain Parabens but does contain alcohol, which can dry out sensitive skin. I did not experience this, however, over time using this mask, it might have an effect on my skin.
Have you tried this brand before? What were your thoughts on it? Have you jumped into the face mask crowd yet?!
